  • Innovative Science

    A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is key. We work to uplift one another, both inside and outside the lab, to facilitate a successful, respectful and welcoming lab environment.

  • Social Mammals

    Once a month, a lab member organizes a happy hour (AM or PM). It is a way to learn more about how to best support this lab member both inside and outside the lab.

  • Beyond Lab Meetings

    Every 6 months, the lab watches a good or bad sci-fi movie together and discusses its relationship to society and culture.

  • Community Service

    Members are expected to participate in community service.

    Engagement with scientific societies, such as SACNAS or ABRCMS, is encouraged.
